Address flea activity throughout the home

Fleas have several life stages, and much of the problem may be in the environment rather than on a pet. Inspection helps identify affected areas and whether heat is suitable as part of a wider control plan.

Heat treatment suitability depends on the pest, the property and the materials present. We assess the situation, explain preparation and item-protection limits, and advise whether monitoring or additional measures may be needed.

Signs worth checking

  • Small jumping insects in carpets or around pet resting areas
  • Pets scratching more than usual or signs of fleas in their coat
  • New bite-like marks — these alone cannot identify the pest

These signs are not a diagnosis. Contact us to discuss identification before arranging treatment.

Before your treatment

Tell us about any pets and where they rest. Arrange suitable veterinary flea care for affected animals; room heat treatment does not treat pets. People and animals must be away from the treatment area, and we will provide instructions for bedding and belongings.

Typical heat treatments take 3–6 hours; your schedule and safe re-entry time will be confirmed for your property. Follow your technician’s pest-specific instructions.

Aftercare & prevention

Follow your technician’s cleaning and monitoring advice and your vet’s pet-care guidance. The flea life cycle can mean follow-up checks or additional measures are needed; do not assume every new sighting means treatment has failed.

Ask us about any applicable treatment terms before booking. The bed bug guarantee should not be assumed to cover a different pest.

Common questions

Does heating the room treat my pet too?

No. Animals must not be present during heat treatment. Speak to a vet about an appropriate flea treatment for each pet; never use room-treatment products on animals.

Can fleas occur in a property without pets?

Yes. Fleas may remain after animals have left or be associated with visiting animals or another source. Inspection helps establish what is happening.
